Black-ish creator Kenya Barris has called it quits with his wife, filing for divorce after 20 years of marriage.
Kenya Barris filed for divorce last Friday in L.A. County against his wife Rania "Rainbow" Barris.
His wife of 20 years, Dr. Rania Edwards-Barris, is an anesthesiologist in West Hollywood, California, and has been in practice for more than a decade.
Calling It Quits
The reason for their divorce was undisclosed, but it must have been something major for them to call it quits after being married for two decades. The couple shares six children together, and will now be co-parenting them amicably.
While Barris decided to call it quits on one of his biggest productions in life, he continues to excel in his career. His show "Black-ish" continues to soar, with stellar actresses such as Tracee Ellis-Ross and Jenifer Lewis under his wing.
A Multi-talented Cast
With so many brilliant talents in his show, it's quite easy for the creator to explore different plots, especially since his cast is multi-talented.
In a video posted on Instagram, Jenifer sang Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady" with Tracee joining in soon after. Playing around with each other while having fun, the two co-stars sang and laughed the entire time, clearly have a great dynamic even off-screen.

Their closeness translates to how they are when they're filming their hit show, and its made "Black-ish" all the more compelling knowing the dynamic between its artists spring from off-screen friendships.
