Demi Lovato has released a surprise new track which is without doubt her most heartbreaking and personal offering yet.
‘Sober’ is an emotional piano ballad in which Demi appears to reveal that she has broken her sobriety. The track sees the songstress apologising to those who have been a part of her journey. The poignant lyrics showcase Demi at her rawest and most vulnerable and will resonate with many.

Demi also apologises to her fans, singing “I’m sorry for the fans I lost, who watched me fall again, I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human.” The song ends with Demi apologising to herself, and promising that she will get help and rise once again.

Back in March, Demi celebrated six years of sobriety. It is no secret that Demi has fought many battles over the years, including addiction, mental illness and eating disorders.
