During a conversation with her social media followers, Doja Cat came out to say she had since recovered from the coronavirus after her diagnosis earlier this month. In case you missed it, Doja Cat said she wasn’t afraid of COVID-19.

And many of her social media detractors took a lot of pleasure out of the news that she had been diagnosed with coronavirus. As it was previously reported, Doja said on her account that she wasn’t “scared of a coronavirus or the beer version of that s**t.”

The performing artist joked that even if she got the virus, she would get a corona – the beer – right after in celebration. Ironically, it was revealed she had contracted it a few weeks later, and she said she had been staying at home to recover.

According to Doja Cat, the virus came with a number of symptoms, including the inability to taste bacon, and aching legs. Regarding the respiratory symptoms which the virus has become known for, Doja Cat said she didn’t have any problems in that area, although, she did come down with the fever.

Twitter users accused Doja Cat of being reckless. For instance, an anonymous person claimed Doja Cat was putting other people’s lives at risk by not caring about the quarantine measures that many others have been following.

Doja Cat said in response that she never told anyone to disobey the rules, she just said she didn’t “give a f*ck” about the virus. As most know by now, Doja Cat hasn’t been exactly a fan favorite over the past few months.

Earlier this year, she was chastised by people online and in the rap game for reportedly participating in online chat rooms which many have deemed as a place where “white supremacist” “incels” had been hanging out.

Doja Cat responded to the allegations by apologizing for hanging out in the forums, admitting to her followers that she had been participating in chat rooms ever since she was a child. The controversy was facilitated by a tweet in which she made an anti-Arab slur.
